Elementary Grades, 3–5Third Grade Teacher
Emma Galante
Emma’s passion for working with children began in high school when she first coached youth summer track. With a professional certificate in K-8 Education and over 15 years of experience and training in dance and theater, Emma strives to integrate the arts into her teaching, enriching her students’ learning experiences. Emma is excited to be a part of the Fiddlehead community, where she can continue to nurture her love for education and the arts. Outside of school, Emma enjoys spending time with her family—her husband, son, dog, and two cats—at their home in Lyman. She loves singing, reading, watching TV and movies, playing soccer, and unwinding by the fire.

Third Grade Assistant Teacher
Samiera McMullen
Samiera brings five years of experience to her role at Fiddlehead as a third grade teaching assistant. In 2020, Samiera graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy and a minor in Education. She has also completed the coursework to obtain a K-6 teaching certification. When she’s not at school, Samiera loves to walk, read, eat and cook delicious food, travel, and go to the beach.

Fourth Grade Teacher
Angela Bacon
Angela joined Fiddlehead after teaching 3rd and 4th grade in both Maine and South Carolina. Her passions include relationship building and creating a comfortable environment for students to grow through creativity and exploration. When she’s not teaching, Angela enjoys watching movies, doing arts and crafts, or playing with her cat.

Sal Tinkham
Sal joined the Fiddlehead team after teaching 5th grade in both New Hampshire and Maine schools. She is passionate about learning and teaching. In the summer, Sal works as a sailing instructor and sailboat captain. Sal is excited for the opportunity to facilitate learning outdoors and discover new ideas and adventures in nature with her students.
